What is Miyajima’s Firewalking ceremony?
On April 15th and November 15th, Miyajima holds a firewalking ceremony every year!
This fire walking ceremony is said to have started when Shogo Rigen Daishi exterminated a poisonous snake while training at Daigoji Temple on Mt.
The fire used in the fire walking ceremony is the ”Kiezu no Hi” which has been buring for 1,200 years at Mt.Misen.
As the name suggests, the fire-walking ceremony involves the great master and priests walking on fire. At that time, it seems that they walk while chanting wish fulfillment.

You must take off your shoes and your shoes and walk barefoot during the firewalk.So the soles of the feet are very dark.
However, if you want your wish to come true, don’t wipe it with a towel!
