[Hiroshima Sightseeing] Do you know Touji-mura, where you can see traditional Japanese dance performances?

What kind of place is Touji Village?

Touji-mura (Touji Village) is located deep in the mountains of Akitakada City, Hiroshima Prefecture. The old-fashioned streets of the village give visitors a sense of nostalgia.

In Touji-mura, you can see Kagura, a traditional Japanese dance performance! Those who see it for the first time will surely be overwhelmed! It is a great place to visit with the family, as it can be enjoyed by everyone from adults to children!

In addition, Touji-mura also has natural hot springs, restaurants, and lodging facilities, so you can enjoy yourself for a long time!

What is Kagura?

Kagura is a song and dance performed in dedication to the gods. People wearing very beautiful costumes and kagura masks dance to the music played on drums and flutes.
You will never get tired of watching the performance, as there are many highlights such as quick costume changes!

What are the rules for watching kagura?

Do you know how to watch Kagura?
Actually, many Japanese people do not know!
You must watch quietly, you must not eat or drink, you must sit properly…

That’s not true. !!!!!

・I’ll watch it over drinks. ・Eating and drinking in the auditorium ・Talking with friends ・call out to someone ・Leave your seat freely

All of this is permissible. !!!!

What is generally considered unforgivable is permitted.

Kagura is to be enjoyed with God. God has a forgiving heart, so He turns a blind eye to most of the things that flawed human beings do. God is kind!
So let’s have fun with God!

But don’t overdo it or you will be a nuisance to the guests around you.
